Montrose Access - Mark Molesworth
Montrose Access - Mark Molesworth
Story
In order to raise funds for charity some people climb Mt Everest, some hike the Simpson Desert and others jump out of aeroplanes. I thought about doing all of those things, but (it will surprise none of you to learn) decided that none of them were for me.
So I decided to go for a taxing 700m stroll around Corinda instead . . .
I'm taking part in Walk With Me 2011 and would welcome your support to help me make a difference.
Walk With Me 2011 is a national event raising funds for respite services for people with disabilities and their families. The event celebrates the abilities of people with disabilities and gives us the chance to walk side by side with friends, sponsors supporters and clients of MontroseAccess.
I think walking around the streets of Corinda with the clients of MontroseAccess, all of whom are kids and young adults who have a physical disability, is a great way of showing that with the right care and equipment people with a disability can be involved in the activities that we all do on a daily basis. Not to mention the fact that it is far less dangerous than swimming the English Channel or wrestling polar bears in the arctic.
Please support me with a secure online donation. Click on DONATE NOW and follow the prompts. You can leave me a personal message, and you will automatically receive a tax deductible gift receipt via email.
Thanks for helping MontroseAccess make a difference!
(And for ensuring I don't have to do any of those silly "extreme" things to raise money for an organisation that I really believe in)
Activity
MontroseAccess
MontroseAccess provides therapy, respite and recreation services to more than 600 children and young adults with physical disabilities throughout Queensland.
Through our four metropolitan offices and regional outreach program we provide varied and holistic services to clients with varying degrees of disability; some of the most common being neuromuscular conditions, juvenile arthritis, acquired brain injury and arthrogryposis. Our clients age from toddlers (through our Early Childhood Program) to young adults (the Lifestyle & Leisure Program).
MontroseAccess is an independent not-for-profit organisation without political or religious affiliation. We do not duplicate services provided by condition specific organisations – we provide services to those young people who would not otherwise be able to obtain them.
